Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is known for playing in a popular TV show called Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His love for acting started in his early college days. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in movies and on television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and a large fan base. He's managed to play effortlessly characters on both sides of the law and grab the audience's interest. His initial project was a television show, and he then stepped into the part of an NYPD detective. Due to his work on the small screens, he has received multiple nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as the PRISM Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is said to be his blue eyes, which have been considered to be his signature and has helped in portraying characters who are rough and flamboyant. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
