Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is famous for his role on the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began in his early college days. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active in film and TV but his performances on the small screen were what earned him popularity. The ability of his characters to appear in both legal and non-legal settings is what has caught the attention of audiences. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his first television series project however he later chose to play the role that of a NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His signature piercing, blue eyes which are said to make his look attractive. They have helped to play rough characters in a charismatic manner. The People's Magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
