Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. She is best known for her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting at Preparatory school before moving to Ohio with her family in late 1970s. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked as a theatre actor in the Chicago area for several years before trying her hand at TV and films. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. In addition, she appeared in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In fact, it was only in the latter part of 1990 that she took on a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. She was cast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four part audio podcast set in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last seasons of Walter White.
